The Washington State Department of Transportation has closed an Interstate 90 ramp near Seattle for an emergency expansion joint repair.
The extended closure started at about 1:30 p.m. and is expected to continue through the evening commute, according to the Mercer Island Police Department.

Crews will work quickly, the release noted, however “westbound travelers need to plan ahead and seek alternate routes.”
