TACOMA, Wash. — The Tacoma Police Department is investigating the death of two people. Their deaths are believed to be a homicide.
Officers were called to an area on St. Paul Ave. near Tacoma Marine Repair for reports of two adults inside a car who were unresponsive.
Both people were pronounced dead at the scene from apparent gunshot wounds.
Initially, Tacoma Police reported that the victims were a man and a woman. However, the police department issued a correction to say both victims were women.
These are the third and fourth homicides in Tacoma in 10 days. An 18-year-old was killed after getting shot in the chest on Valentine’s Day and another man was found dead on Feb. 11. A suspect has been arrested in the Feb. 11 homicide.
This is a developing story.
The medical examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death.
