PARKLAND, Wash. — Deputies are investigating a homicide after a man was shot dead in Parkland yesterday.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, deputies first responded to reports of a shooting along 18th Avenue South in Parkland at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
Arriving deputies found a man in his 30s who had been shot and tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives and forensic teams were on the scene, and an investigation is ongoing, but the sheriff’s office says there is no ongoing danger to the public.
No arrest(s) have been made, the sheriff’s office confirmed Thursday.
