SEATTLE — A man has died after he was shot in the neck while driving in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. near East Pike Street and music venue Neumos.
Officers determined the driver, a 26-year-old man, was heading northbound on 10th Avenue when he stopped.
That’s when he was shot.
His foot came off the brake, and the car coasted. The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but did not survive his injuries, police said.
The suspect ran off, and police are still searching for whoever is responsible.
It’s unclear if the victim and suspect knew each other.
Police have not said what led up to the shooting.
