TACOMA, Wash. — Deputies say a man was shot and killed in Tacoma Friday afternoon following a neighbor dispute.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), at 4:29 p.m., deputies received a call from a man stating that he had shot his neighbor.
Deputies arrived shortly after and found that the shooting victim, a 46-year-old man, was dead.
The neighbor told deputies that the victim was strangling him prior to the shooting.
PCSO said that the neighbor, a 43-year-old man, was taken into custody and was cooperative and compliant. He will continue to be held in custody while deputies work to figure out what led up to this dispute.
Deputies also shared that there had been calls in the past from other neighbors regarding the shooting victim, adding, “This neighbor was known to the neighborhood. There had been some other reports from neighbors in regards to him, but for tonight, we’re not sure what exactly led him to go up to this other neighbor.”
