AUBURN, Wash. — The city of Auburn says a Level 3evacuation notice has been issued for residents living between SR 167 and the Green River.
The affected communities are north of S. 42nd Street and south of S. 277th Street.
The evacuation level has been upgraded due to rapidly rising floodwaters that are spreading and not draining.
Communities in Auburn, south of 24th Street NE and north of 4th Street N, are at Level 2 notice, meaning they need to be ready to leave at a moment’s notice.
These residents would live east of M Street NE.
Residents living along 104th Avenue SE, south of 24th Street NE and north of 4th Street NE, have also been raised to Level 2.
The city is asking anyone in these areas that have a Level 3 notice to leave immediately; however, be aware that many major roadways nearby may be flooded.
Anyone who needs assistance evacuating is asked to call 911.
