KENT, Wash. — The Kent Police Department (KPD) has updated its 21-year-old records system.
However, the new system had a glitch that caused several unsuspecting residents to receive emails about old cases.
According to Kent Police, the messages were not scams and were not sent intentionally.
KPD says it has worked with the system’s vendor and believes the issue has now been resolved.
