SEATTLE, Wash. — The forecast tonight looks quiet again across western Washington. Skies will feature a few clouds and temperatures will drop into the 40s quickly after sunset, which is now occurring before 5 p.m.

Temperatures tonight will drop to a low of 40 degrees close to the Puget Sound water and into the 30s again for colder inland spots. Lowland fog will form again by tomorrow morning.

There could be reduced visibility on I-5 for the morning commute on Monday.

After the fog burns off Monday, skies will open up with periods of sun and clouds. High temperatures will recover to the mid 50s. No rain is expected tomorrow, and it looks like we will likely have a rain-free day Tuesday, as well.

The weather pattern by Wednesday will set up to deliver a series of rain events to western Washington through the end of the week and into next weekend. Rain showers will pop up on the radar each day, but the chance for rain will be highest Wednesday and again Friday into Saturday.

Temperatures will run just a few degrees above normal this week, with daytime highs in the upper 50s and overnight lows in the upper 40s. No records will be set -- just a few degrees above average temperature this week.
