National — Wendy’s says it is set to close between 200 to 300 locations across the United States on Friday.
Interim CEO Ken Cook stated that locations will be closed based on performance as part of a turnaround strategy aimed at increasing sales, according to CNN.
Last year, Wendy’s closed 140 stores, citing similar performance issues.
The closures are set to begin this year and will continue through 2026, though a specific list of locations has not been announced.
