Man found dead in Puyallup was ‘bleeding profusely,’ deputies say

PUYALLUP, Wash. — The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office says a man in Puyallup is dead and they’re trying to figure out what happened to him.

A 911 call came in around 3 a.m. on Thursday saying that someone was bleeding and needed help on 113th Avenue East.

When deputies arrived, they found a 45-year-old man who was dead. Deputy Carly Cappetto with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said the man was “bleeding profusely.”

No one is in custody and there is little information to provide what led up to his death.

The sheriff’s office spent roughly 10 hours at the home to investigate.

“There’s just some very unusual factors around this death,” said Cappetto.

KIRO 7 was told there was one other person inside the trailer at the time.

Cappetto said no one is in custody.

Neighbors told KIRO 7 they did see a woman temporarily placed in a sheriff’s vehicle, but they didn’t notice anything suspicious overnight.

“They’re gonna wonder why I’m pretty sure. Just like me – I’m gonna wonder why,” said one neighbor.

As investigators wrapped up the scene, they also removed multiple guns from the home.

“It’s going to come down to what those forensics can get with the investigation and the evidence that they took today from that home,” said Cappetto.
