WAPATO, Wash. — Washington State Patrol says that a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident just outside Wapato.
The 31-year-old man was walking south on State Route 97 when he was hit by a car on Sunday morning.
The driver didn’t stay but instead drove off, leaving the man injured.
The man was dead at the scene once police and medics arrived.
Washington State Patrol says that they are still investigating the accident.
