CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. — Chelan County Emergency Management has raised evacuation levels for the Labor Mountain and Lower Sugar Loaf fires.
The evacuation level for the Labor Mountain Fire, which has been burning on the borders of Chelan and Kittitas counties, has been raised to Level 3.
This means residents should leave immediately.
The evacuation order applies to roads near Highway 97, near Blewett Pass.
Emergency Management has also raised the evacuation level to Level 3 for the Lower Sugar Loaf Fire near Entiat Valley.
The Lower Sugar Loaf Fire has been burning since Sept. 1.
It is 22% contained and has burned over 20,000 acres.
The Labor Mountain Fire, which also started on Sept. 1, has covered over 7,000 acres.
Emergency Management advises residents to monitor local radio stations, their Facebook page, and their incident map for updates.
