BURIEN, Wash. — Two people were found dead and a third person critically injured after a stabbing at the Montrose Apartments in Burien, the King County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Tuesday.
Investigators are treating the case as a homicide.
Deputies were called to the apartment complex late Monday night, where they discovered a man outside the building suffering from multiple stab wounds.
He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Inside one of the units, investigators later located two people who had been killed.
Their bodies were removed from the apartment around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
For more than 12 hours, law enforcement combed through the third-floor apartment unit, which faces South 152nd Street and Highline High School.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office, Burien police, and technicians from the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab documented the scene, took photographs, and flew a drone over the area.
One resident told KIRO 7 off-camera that she saw a heavy police response to the building around 9:30 p.m. Monday.
There is no suspect information, however, if you have information, contact the King County Sheriff’s Office.
